The bulk of custom Macola reports and forms that Harvest Ventures creates for our clients are done in Crystal Reports and (increasingly more) in SSRS (SQL Service Reporting Services) which is part of Microsoft SQL Server services.

Writing custom reports ideally occurs within the pilot phase of implementation, but sometimes also after a system has gone live. When clients communicate their needs early on in the implementation process, having customizations ready prior to going live is preferable.
