We have been busy preparing for the conference as a silver sponsor - as host and presenters of a breakout session in addition to our booth in the solution centre. And don't you want to know what we've got up our sleeves this year?? ...You'll have to come and see!

It's an exciting season for all of us in the Macola community. In addition to the excitement building up to Evolve, we have held two user meetings in Ontario. Attendees have provided great feedback and suggestions to guide these meetings forward and the next one will be hosted at a customer site in Bolton, ON. You are invited to join us, more details are below!

Streamline Logistics and Branch Operations

This year Harvest will be hosting and presenting a breakout session at Exact Macola Evolve 2015 focused around logistics and branch operations.

We've helped several clients reduce manual processes and eliminate spreadsheets related to inventory tracking, particularly when it comes to tracking shipping containers and the related costs from suppliers to various branch offices and warehouse locations.

We'll be sharing tips and tools on how to manage these processes within Macola so that you can streamline order entry, accounts payable and at the same time, improve cusotmer service and inventory accuracy.

Next Meeting: April 22nd in Bolton, ON

Nola, Bruce and the Ontario Harvest crew would like to invite you to join us for a coffee or two at a meet up of Exact users in the area. Our goal is to provide a positive and constructive forum for collaboration within the Macola community.

All Exact products will be discussed: Exact Progression, Exact Macola ES, Exact Globe, Exact Synergy, etc.

We will share some information, then open the floor for users to discuss their challenges and allow for others to help with a solution. 

This month, we will have a live demo set-up of both WMS systems: Exact WMS and WiSys so that you can try it out for yourself. We will have the scan guns, barcodes...the whole shooting match!

EBA: A VALUABLE TOOL THAT YOU MAY ALREADY HAVE
How to get started using it

EBA or Exact Business Analytics is a tool that you have likely heard a lot about as an Exact customer. One of the best kept secrets is that a large percentage of businesses own it in varying degrees and the tragedy is that most are not using it.

Many think it's another reporting tool, comparable to Crystal Reports into which many clients have invested a lot of time and effort to develop.

It's not.

EBA is a tool you would use for analyzing all of the data you have amassed over the years within your Exact ERP system.

If you are fond of Excel and Pivot Tables, you're going to love this product. It's "a Pivot Table on Steroids" as Bruce describes it.

MANUFACTURING DAY: OCTOBER 2, 2015

The date for Manufacturing Day 2015 has been announced! October 2, 2015

The purpose of this day is to educate the public about manufacturing, connect with future generations and get them thinking about a career in manufacturing with the end goal of addressing the challenge of labour shortage that so many in the industry are experiencing.

In Canada, this day is steadily gaining in popularity with various regions arranging their own local events. For instance, the Workforce Planning Board arranged plant tours in Kitchener, Waterloo and Guelph Ontario last year: http://www.workforceplanningboard.com/mfgday/mfgdayindex.html.
