THE FUTURE OF MACOLA ES

We hope you're aware of Exact Macola 10 by now and as with any new major product release, there is a buzz and focus on the new product. Our goal is to help you make the right decisions by providing you with as much information as we can about all of your options.

You’ve made a significant investment in your software and may even have purchased all the components of EM10 (Exact Event Manager, Exact Synergy, Navigator, etc.) and the uncertainty of what will be required of you, may be a concern.  We understand.

Harvest is invested in your continued success with the software and this view is also shared by Exact Macola. Macola ES will continue to be supported and (version 9 series, the most recent version is 9.6.200) will receive trickle down functional enhancements from development being done on Exact Macola 10 because ES still remains the core ERP engine in EM10.

For those using Progression, there are some compelling reasons to consider upgrading and that information was provided to you in an email last week.  If you did not receive it, please let us know. Progression will continue to be supported by Exact and Harvest will gladly continue to support you as well.

NOTICE TO F9 USERS

We have been informed by Infor that version 4 of F9 is now in retirement mode. Customers on maintenance for this product will continue to have access to support however; F9 advises of risks to remaining on version 4 as the product will no longer have:

• Compatibility support related to Microsoft Office and platform updates, including Microsoft Windows 8, Microsoft Office 64-bit, and Microsoft Office 2013
• Maintenance updates or corrections if specific issues with new platforms
• Compatibility support related to Accounting System updates
• Enhancements or newly released features

F9 Version 5 is the foundation for current and future enhancements. It is compliant with the latest versions of Microsoft Office and Microsoft platforms. In addition, version 5 offers F9 viewer which enables reports to be viewed by all users and this version also includes a new ribbon, interactive task panes, updated scheduling and distribution options and web-based reporting.

USER GROUPS

If you're not already a member of a user group, you might want to consider joining. They are a great forum to share ideas, best practices and ask questions to other users. These groups are virtual and generally meet once a month.  There are also LinkedIn Groups so you can communicate with the group outside of the meeting times.
