Module:
Inventory Management Description: When saving items in the Item Master the message comes up Error Creating Assortments. Solution: Usually this is because the item master or item location has an invalid product category entered on an item or item location record. This could be caused by deleting a Product Category while it is still being used on an item or someone may have used a script to change the Product Category in the IMITMIDX_SQL table but did not change it in the IMINVLOC_SQL. You can also receive error during the Sync E-Synergy if the primary location record does not exist.

AR Description: In AR Statements/Labels \ Customer statements, a user can select a Layout of User-defined, and then a secondary layout. Where in Macola ES can a user edit the layout, or even create a new one? Solution: The user-defined layouts are not located in the standard form maintenance utility. To access the user-defined AR statement: 1) Select the System Tab 2) Select Company Settings on the Company menu list 3) Next select documents 4) On the right of the screen, a user will see Financial, with the following sub-sections. · Reminder · Customer labels · Vendor labels · Customer statements 5) To the right of the Customer statements box, there is a paper/magnifying glass icon. Select the icon. 6) Now the [Company Name] Layout screen will launch. From this pop-up screen, a user can edit the existing XXEXACT1 layout for the Debtor statements, or create a new one. Exact strongly recommends making a new layout to test rather than editing the default layout. 7) Once all changes have been made, save and exit. The next time a user launches the Statements/Labels \ Customer statements selection screen and chooses user-defined, they will have the option to select the modified / new form.

Payroll
Description: I am trying to process an automatic check void in P/R and keep receiving the message "check has been reconciled." I know this check has not been reconciled as I just processed this check last week, why? Solution: Because the module Bank Book is in use and an A/P Check was already issued and reconciled using the same check number, the program was pulling the check number from A/P first and since it had been reconciled, returning the reconciled message. You will need to go through Bank Book, unreconcile that A/P check of the same number, then process the automatic check void in payroll. After completely done with the Payroll processing, go back into Bank Book and reconcile that check again.
Module:
Accounts Payable Description: If Terms are changed on Page 1 of the Vendor Maintenance screen, will it update any open items for the vendor?
Solution:
No. This type of change will only affect new transactions from that
point forward. To change Terms on existing open items, go to:
Module:
Assets Description: After setting up the assets for the first time, the program does not calculate correctly. Solution: The asset file must be set up correctly. All parameters in the asset entity records are used in the depreciation calculation, which will make any necessary adjustments determined by the program for the YTD and LTD depreciation amounts to be correct. Each depreciation calculation will first back out the YTD figure, calculate from the beginning of the year, and make any necessary current period adjustment (even negative) so the LTD depreciation amount is correct.
Module:
GL Description: When doing the final close in Progression after a temp close has already been performed, knowing that the year must be in the current year and not the year being closed. What about the GL period: can this be any period or must it be the 1st period of the year? Solution: The current period setting is not critical; the program will properly close the correct year regardless of how that field is defined. However, after the final is done, the current period will indicate period 1 and can be set to the current period manually.
Module:
OE Description: How are price codes handled when I do a credit memo? Solution: The Apply to on the Credit Memo header will determine how the price codes are handled. If there is an Apply to entered, then the price for the item entered on the credit memo will come from the history files. If no Apply to is entered on the Credit Memo header then as the lines are entered the price will come from the Price Code file.
